The Digital Services Reckoning:Why the Accenture Model Is Breaking — and What Replaces It

For two decades, the digital services giants — Accenture, the Indian IT majors, the global SIs — sold transformation by the thousand: large teams, multi-year programs, headcount that scaled with ambition. That model is now under visible strain. Markets are repricing these firms because clients sense the old equation — more consultants, more engineers, more billable hours equals more value — no longer holds in an AI-native world.

The reason is simple. A large part of human knowledge is now encoded into LLMs, and the people who can skillfully extract and apply it can already rival large delivery teams. When the knowledge a 50-person program once supplied is available on demand, what exactly is the client paying for?

This session looks at what replaces the pyramid. If "transformation by headcount" is dying, the winners won't be whoever fields the biggest bench — they'll be whoever can orchestrate small, AI-augmented teams against outcomes, with judgment, governance, and accountability the model can't supply on its own. We'll explore where value migrates as delivery is reinvented, what buyers should stop paying for, and what the genuinely defensible human edge looks like next.

A question for the room: if a large delivery team is no longer the answer, what would you demand from a digital services partner if you were buying today?
