We would like to invite you to attend EGN Cross Functional Virtual Event
This event will be held on Wednesday, 8 July 2025 | 4:00AM - 5:00PM SGT
Make Better Decisions with Diversity of Thought
Boards and senior leadership teams are regularly required to make complex, high-stakes decisions that can determine whether their organisations thrive or struggle. Groups with strong diversity of thought bring together different experiences, perspectives, and cognitive approaches, helping to challenge assumptions, reduce the risk of groupthink, and improve the quality of decision-making. They can also unlock greater creativity by generating fresh ideas and alternative approaches to opportunities and challenges. However, these benefits require careful curation of the right culture and practices.
In this interactive virtual session, “Make Better Decisions With Diversity of Thought,” members will discover how diversity of thought can strengthen leadership effectiveness and improve the decision-making performance of their teams or boards. Together, we will explore how different perspectives influence strategic thinking, why cognitive diversity matters in high-performing teams, and how leaders can create environments that encourage constructive challenge and fresh thinking rather than avoid them.
This session will provide practical, research-backed insights that participants can immediately apply within their boardrooms, leadership teams, and wider organisations. Through discussion, practical examples, and shared member insights, participants will leave with a stronger understanding of how to build better decision-making cultures, reduce the risks of groupthink, and unlock more innovative and effective leadership outcomes.
