Indonesia's Strategic Role in Global Trade: Unlocking Potential and Navigating Challenges

As foreign founders with decades in Indonesia's market, we've seen its rise as a global trade powerhouse, leveraging strengths while tackling complexities. Strategic executives need real-world insights into smart investments and growth in uncertain times.

Join our keynote, "Indonesia's Strategic Role in Global Trade: A Founder's Perspective."

As an ASEAN's largest economy projecting 4.0-4.5% growth in 2025 amid partnerships like ASEAN-GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) unlocking significant trade flows by 2027, the real challenges for foreign investors such as strict regulations, cultural gaps, and hype vs. reality, intensified by China's Q2 2025 GDP slowdown to 5.2% (full-year ~4.6-5%), U.S.-China tensions in trade reciprocal tariffs war, and domestic protests over rising costs and inequality despite ~5.1% Q2 GDP.

Key opportunities if approached right, including leveraging the U.S.-Indonesia deal (19% reciprocal tariffs on exports, 99% elimination on U.S. imports), ASEAN frameworks like Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ties for digital/ sustainable trade and supply chain diversification; and lessons from real practice like building trust via local partners, adapting to volatility, and aligning with Indonesia's neutral stance for resilient growth.

Join peers to discuss applying these insights, turning challenges into advantages for success in global trade.
